If you or your accounting team needs to reconcile transactions from your residents to a specific payout, Stripe provides functionality for this in their Stripe Express Dashboard.
You can access your Stripe Express Dashboard two ways. The first, is to log in to the 1CONNECT Portal, navigate to to the Payments tab, and then select "Manage Payments" at the top right corner. Only 1CONNECT users with special payments permissions can see this action button.
Once you have navigated to the Manage Payments page, at the top click "View Your Stripe Account".
From here you will be re-directed to the Stripe Express Dashboard login screen, where you will need to login with your credentials used when creating your Stripe account during onboarding.
The second way to login is to visit https://connect.stripe.com/express_login and login with your Stripe credentials.
Please note that Stripe may change the layout and content of the Stripe Express Dashboard at any time, so the instructions below may be out of date
Once you have logged in to the Stripe dashboard, you will need to navigate to the transactions page by clicking on Transactions.
There are two ways you can view the transactions that make-up a payout, both of which are described below.
Reconcile Payout Transactions-Method 1 (view)
The first allows you to see the transactions in a web page screen, but does not allow you to export them. This works for some teams to get the reconciliation information they need. To do this, click on the Payouts tab, find the payout you are interested in and click on it to bring up a side panel with all the payout information on it. From here you can view all the transactions that were included in the payout.
Reconcile Payout Transactions-Method 2 (export)
The second method to view the transactions that make-up a payout is to export the transactions and cross reference the transactions from the payout in a spreadsheet. This involves a few more steps and may differ depending on which spreadsheet editor you are using.
On the transactions tab in the express dashboard, make sure you are on the subsection tab that says "All" (not the payouts subsection).
Click on the export button, which will display a panel where you can choose the time period you are interested in finding transactions for. Select the time period that will include the payout you are interested in and any transactions that would be included in it since your last payout. It is better to use a longer date range selection here as you can always filter this further in your spreadsheet editor.
This is very important: before you export, you must select "All" on the columns to export. This will add a few more columns of data that are needed to trace the transactions that make-up a payout.
Once the spreadsheet downloads, open it in your spreadsheet editor.
From here, you'll want to find the payout you are interested in, and make note of the long ID in the "Source" column
Now, select your entire sheet and add filters to it (this will differ depending on the editor you are using).
Next, filter on the "transfer" column, using the long ID you had noted from the payout that was in the "source". Select only that id and it will now show you all the transactions that make-up that payout.
The transactions will now display for that specific payout.
Please verify your transactions match what shows from the transactions in the payout from the first approach. 1VALET is not responsible for incorrect use of exports and spreadsheet tools and is providing this article as a convenience to customers as Stripe does not explain this level of detail in their documentation.
