Camera recordings are an important security measure in many communities. Reviewing them can come in handy for a multitude of reasons. Let’s walk through this process.
First, ensure you are logged into the 1CONNECT Portal - this is currently the only location to view live feed or review recordings in the 1VALET ecosystem. Residents do not have access to camera feed or footage.
Then select the ‘Camera’ feature button. This will populate all the cameras and camera groups you have created for your community.
At the top right-hand side of the screen, you will see two options: ‘Manage Camera Groups’ - where you can go in and create customised clusters of cameras that make navigating easier, as well as ‘View Recordings’ that allows you to view saved footage up to 30-days or more dependent on several other factors (number of cameras, size of harddrive, HD vs SD footage recording, etc).
By selecting ‘View Recordings’, a blank screen pops up and prompts you to select up to 20 cameras to view footage from.
The blue lines at the top of the page show current footage data - this data is broken down into blocks of hours, so when navigating, you can select to view recordings in one-hour slots, making the process easier.
Next, once the cameras are selected, proceed to select the timeframe you’re looking for using the ‘Calendar’ icon located at the top of the page.
Each camera screen will have a few items at the bottom of the page: a 10-second rewind and fast-forward option, a playback speed button, a note box, the download option, a screen adjustment button and finally grey/yellow boxes that indicate recorded activity that can be viewed.
Note: if the recording bar is blank, it might indicate that that particular camera did not have any motion-detected event (leading to a recording) during that particular time frame.
The download button allows you to download footage for the current clip you’re watching, the full hour selected or a customisable timeframe for that day that suits your needs.
