1VALET uses Stripe to process all payments within the app. When setting up a payment method, you will start on the 1VALET app, but your banking information will be verified through Stripe.

To get started, tap on the Payments widget displaying your balance. This is located on the top left corner of the 1VALET app's home screen. You can also access "Payments" by tapping on the “More” icon on the bottom navigation bar and tapping on the Payments tab. This will take you to the Payments main screen.

Once here, tap on the "Payment Settings & AutoPay" button to access your settings.

In the top portion of the "Payments Settings" screen, you'll see a section called "Payment Methods." Tap on the "Add Payment Method" button and select the "Bank Account" option.

If we have your email address, you'll be asked to verify if it is correct. If we don't have your email, you'll be asked to enter it.

The next few screens will involve Stripe

  1. Agree to Stripe's Verification Terms of Use and Privacy. For reference, you can find them here.

  2. Select our bank and sign into your financial institution by entering your username and password. If you don't see it on the list, you can use micro-deposit verification where you'll be asked to enter your Institution. number, Transit number, and Account number.

  3. Answer the verification questions.

  4. Select the account you want to use and tap continue

  5. Read the Pre-authorized debit agreement and tap on "Agree."

Once Stripe has verified your account, it will appear in your list of Payment methods. in the app's "Payment Settings" screen.

Please note that bank accounts may take 2-5 days to be verified, and can only be used for rent payments.

I don't have all the banking information the app requires

It is still possible to pay with your bank account, even if you do not have all the required information to enter into the 1VALET App. To do so, instead of signing into your bank account while attempting to add a bank account payment method on the 1VALET app, choose the “manually verify” option instead.

This option takes 1-3 business days to set up and requires you to verify a few small transaction amounts on your account to verify it.
