For buildings with Payments enabled, residents will be able to pay their balance through the 1VALET App.
To get started, tap on your balance card, located just beneath your username on the top left portion of the Home Screen. You can also access "Payments" from the "More" menu in the bottom navigation bar.
If this is the first time you're accessing payments on the app, you'll receive a prompt letting you know to cancel any existing scheduled payments to your building before setting up payments in the 1VALET App. Failure to do so may result in accidental duplicate payments.
After selecting the check box acknowledging that you have read and understood the prompt, tap on the Continue button to access the Payments section of the 1VALET App.
From here, you have a couple of options to pay your balance:
You can make a one-time payment
You can set up AutoPay
Making a One-time Payment
Tap on One-time payment. If you have not previously added a payment method, you will need to add at least one before you can continue with making a One-time Payment.
The payment methods available to you (credit card, debit card, or directly from your bank account via electronic funds transfer), will be based on how payments are configured by Property Management.
Once a payment method has been added, you can continue.
Some buildings allow partial payments. If this option is available to you, you will have the option to pay a custom amount instead of the full balance. Once you've chosen the amount to pay, you will have the opportunity to review your payment before completing the transaction.
Once you've accepted the Terms and Conditions and agreed to the Service Fees, tap on the "Pay Now" button to submit the payment.
After the payment has been submitted, you will notice that your balance has been updated, and you will receive an email receipt with all the payment details.
AutoPay
AutoPay provides you with the convenience and peace of mind of ensuring your rent is paid on time.
To set up AutoPay, tap on the Payment Settings and Autopay button from the Payments screen. From there, tap on the button "Turn on 1VALET AutoPay" to set up a monthly payment of your balance.
Depending on what your Property Management has configured, you can choose between paying the full balance or a custom amount.
Once you've accepted the Terms and Conditions and agreed to the Service Fees, tap on the "Finish 1VALET AutoPay setup" button to complete the process.
Once turned on, you will receive a new message informing you that Autopay has been enabled. You will also see a new message on the Payment Settings page, which will include the amount you selected for Autopay.
If you would like to make any changes to the amount, you will need to turn off AutoPay and complete the setup process again.
On the home screen, you will notice that the Payment card icon is now green and says "AutoPay On."
Please note that you can still make additional One-time Payments when Autopay is turned on.
Service fees
In the Payments review screen, you can tap on the question mark beside the service fee line item to view a breakdown of how service fees are calculated.
Similarly, you can also tap on the highlighted terms and conditions link to view more details.
