How do I move a resident to another unit/suite?

If your building is integrated with Yardi:

Perform the standard Resident Unit Transfer process in Yardi, then either run the synchronization yourself in the 1CONNECT Portal, or wait until the evening for an automatic daily synchronization.

After manual or automatic synchronization, the list of Current and Future Residents will be updated. Residents changing units will retain full access to the unit they are moving from, and will have limited access to the unit they will be moving into.

On the move-in date, their status for that unit will change from Future to Current. If the dates overlap, then the resident will have physical access to both suites during the overlap, allowing the resident to move belongings from one suite to another.

Access to the suite they are moving from will be removed after the move-out date.

For all other buildings:

  1. Create a new resident profile. Make sure to enter the phone number associated with their account. Once you enter the phone number, you will be notified that this resident already has an account, and asked if the accounts should be linked.

  2. Select the option to link the accounts. At this point, most of the user's personal information will be pulled from the old account to the new one.

  3. Add the new unit and a future move-in date.

  4. Repeat the same process for each of the residents transferring units/suites.

On the move-in date, their status for that unit will change from Future to Current. You can initiate the move-out from the old unit at any time.
