How do I change the payment methods available to residents and the fee amounts they will pay?

**Only payment administrators in your building can make changes to the payment options and the percentage of service fees passed-on to residents.**

During the payment onboarding process, on the "Fee Structure" step, a payment administrator will have the option to choose the payment methods available to residents in your building. From here, you can also control the percentage of the service fee that 1VALET charges that will be passed on to the resident.

If you have already completed the onboarding and are using "Soft Launch" or "Full Launch", you will have the ability to change these settings from the "Manage Payments" button (see image below) on the payments tab in the 1Connect portal.

Please note that for amenity bookings, the only options available to residents for payment are credit and debit cards. Also, unlike rent payment fee options, for amenity bookings the fees are always charged to the building. Residents will not see a separate line item for service fees when they are booking amenities since the building is responsible for them. If you intend to recover some of these fees, you must consider pricing them in to your amenity usage fees. For help setting up an amenity with usage fees please see the following article here.

It is the responsibility of your payment administrator to follow local and state laws in regards to passing additional fees on to residents for rent payments. Please advise your legal council if you are unsure if our service fees can be passed on to residents or not in your jurisdiction.
