For communities that utilise the Salto suite door lock powered by 1VALET, accessing your suite is as easy as tap, hold, open!
The Salto suite door lock is accessible using both the physical fobs provided by your Property Managers as well as the Digital Fob (Proximity Keys) available via the 1VALET Resident app. Simply tap on the Digital Fob tile, and then hold your phone flat against the Salto suite door lock (this also works on common area doors you have access to). Best practice is to have your device in direct contact with the lock - remove any MagSafe wallet that might be attached to your device beforehand.
Upon exit of your suite, the Salto suite door lock remains in a state of 'Exit Leaves Open', where the door does not automatically lock behind you. This is a security measure to ensure residents are not locked out by accident when exiting their suites. To lock your suite upon exit, shut the door behind you, pull up the Digital or Physical fobs and hold flat against the Salto suite door lock. The Salto suite door locks will lock behind you upon entry into your suite.
Since your Salto suite door locks are battery-operated, your Property Management team will carry out periodic battery replacements. However, if you find that you are unable to access your suite using the fobs, please contact your Property Management team, and they will be able to support.
