Can I create an event without making it visible to residents?

Yes. You can save an event as a draft and publish it later.

This allows you to:

  • Set up all event details in advance

  • Review settings before going live

  • Avoid residents seeing incomplete information

What is a draft event?

A draft event is an event that has been saved but not published.

When an event is in draft:

  • It is not visible to residents

  • Residents cannot book or respond

  • Only staff can view and edit it

When creating or editing an event, you will have the option to:

  • Publish event → makes the event visible to residents

  • Publish later → saves the event as a draft

Select Publish later to keep the event hidden until you are ready.

What happens when you publish an event?

  • It becomes visible in the resident app

    • Book a spot

    • Respond to the event

    • View event details

Can I edit a draft event?

Yes. You can update a draft event at any time before publishing.

  • Changes are not visible to residents

  • No notifications are sent

What happens if I unpublish an event?
