For residents, ensuring your guests have access to your community - and suite is as easy as using your 1VALET app to share specific community doors!
The 1VALET guest invite will come by whatever preferred method the resident shares that; email, text, Airdrop and more - and will include a unique 6-digit-one-time activation code. You will be prompted to create a username using your email address or a username where you do not have one.
Once the app is downloaded, you will need to select 'Activate an Account' if using the 1VALET guest app for the first time. If this is a subsequent invite, simply enter your username and 4-digit passcode to log in.
Enter the 6-digit one-time use activation code that came with the invite.
Next, you will be asked to confirm the last four digits of your mobile phone number and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy by checkmarking the box.
Create a username using your email or select the 'I do not have an email address' option to enter a unique username.
Afterwards, create the unique 4-digit passcode that allows you to log into the app any time you have an Invite. This code should not be easy to guess; so 1234, or repeating sequences, will pop up an 'easy to guess' alert.
And that's it! You're now welcome to your invited community!
Within the app, you will find key details of your Invite including your name and what suite you are currently occupying (this will only apply to communities with Salto Suite Door locks). It will also show the duration of your Invite, your 1VALET Digital fob for access to granted doors within the community as well as doors that can be remotely unlocked via the 1VALET app - seen under 'My Doors.'
If you have access to multiple suites at the same time - for instance, a guest visiting multiple residents, you will be able to activate each unique Invite from the individual residents by clicking on the 1VALET slash circle, selecting the 'Suite Selected' option under 'My Building'. Click on 'Add additional Suite'.
Type in the unique activation code from the second (or third) resident and activate that account as well. During the activation process of the subsequent accounts, you will be alerted that the system recognises your username and will prompt you to link it to the other existing accounts. Doing this will allow you be able to toggle between suites directly from a single 1VALET account without having to log out and log back in to change access to suites.
And that's it!
Every time you log in, you will be asked to select which available suite (you have an invite to) to access. Your 1VALET Digital fob will work on all the suite doors for the duration of the time you have access to them - as well as the common area community doors; one fob to rule them all!
