Silencing notifications varies depending on the type of phone you have. iPhone users can consult the iPhone user guide and search for notification settings from there.

Android users can consult the Android Help Center. Please keep in mind that there are many different types of phones with the Android operating system. If in doubt, please learn more about notification settings by consulting the user guide of your phone manufacturer

Also, for Android users, if you have Video Calling enabled and your notifications are silent, the app will show this on the Home screen and you will know that you have silenced the notifications on your phone. Please see below:
