The first thing we need to establish is whether or not your notifications are silent. Please see the section below, “How do I know if my notifications are on silent?” for more details on how to find out if this is the case.

If you are certain that your notifications are not on silent, check to see that 1VALET has permission to send you notifications. We ask for permission the first time you install the app, and with each new install (e.g. if you have purchased a new phone). Sometimes, however, this permission can be removed by accident.

Android

If you are on Android, you can check by tapping on your device’s “Settings” and tapping on “Apps.” From there, tap to see a list of all your apps and locate 1VALET in the list. You will see that near the top, there is a category called “Permissions.” If you tap on it, it will tell you what 1VALET is allowed to access. If Notifications are not enabled, you will not be notified when someone is calling you from the Entry System. You can enable them by tapping on Notifications and selecting turning the slider on (towards the right) for “All Notifications.”

One final thing to keep in mind is that if you have Video Calling enabled and your notifications are silent, the app will show this on the Home screen.

iOS

If you have an iPhone or tablet, tap on the Settings icon of your phone, then tap “Notifications.” Scroll down to find 1VALET. Tap on it. Finally, look at the first item at the top called “Allow Notifications.” Make sure that the slider is On. If it’s not, turn it on.

If you have granted permission to 1VALET to send you notifications and the problem persists, check to see that the 1VALET App and your device’s operating system are up-to-date with the latest versions. If that doesn’t work, please contact our Customer Support team [link] to let them know you are experiencing issues and someone will contact you.

When communicating with our team, please include:

  • Your building name

  • Unit number

  • Phone number where we can reach you

Also, to help us serve you better, please include the following information:

  • Your device model (e.g. iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy 12, etc.)

  • The version of your operating system (typically found in your device’s settings)

  • 1VALET App version currently installed on your device (found at the very bottom of the "More" menu.

Finally, it would be helpful if you let our team know what steps you have taken to resolve the issue.
