Suite Inspections for Rental buildings are a great way for the Property Management team to ensure that suites have been handed over to residents in good working condition. This allows the resident to go through a pre-determined checklist of required items and specify which, if any, might require some attention from the Property Management team.
To start, the Property Management team will need to use the 'Suite Inspection' tab in the 1CONNECT portal. Proceed to set your Inspection Settings and set your "Overdue Date", "Expiration Date" and "Community Message". After this click on 'Manage Checklist, and then 'Create Checklist'.
Name the Checklist, for example, "1 Bedroom 1 Bathroom", or "2 Bdrm Penthouse" before selecting the template to use. Two template options exist: a blank one for you to build up from scratch and a 'Default' template to build upon.
Finally, select the suites that correspond to each template created, save the draft if you need to, or publish when ready.
When new residents are added to a suite for the first time, they will automatically receive the template via their 1VALET resident app to complete the suite inspection. Doing so will trigger further actions in the 1CONNECT Portal.
Should you need to manually push a suite inspection, from the Suite Inspections tab, click on the 'clipboard' icon before proceeding to select the desired resident.
