How to send Announcements across single to multiple communities.

When you manage a community, sending an Announcement via the 1CONNECT Portal is an easy process.

You log into your 1CONNECT account, scroll down to the 'Announcement' feature and begin the adventure.

But before all this, let's go over some key workflows to get you started!

By selecting 'Manage Announcements', you will be able to create and 'star' preferred signatures (such as 'Property Management', 'Security Team', 'Condo Board', etc). Starring the signature marks this as the default signature when an Announcement is created.

You can also use 'Groups' to create demographics within your community. This helps when managing unique subsets of residents, from 'EV Owners', 'Pet Owners', to 'Condo Board' or 'Strata Council' members and more.

Next, you create your Announcement.

The 'From' section will be auto-populated by the starred signature.

Your 'To' section will depend on whether you manage a single building or multiple buildings. You can send one Announcement to a single building or to as many properties you have access to and manage. You can even send to individual suites and residents of a particular building (that you are currently sending from).

You have filters that also depend on whether your community is a Condo or Rental. Condos will have the additional option of sending Announcements to a mix of 'Owners', 'Renters', and 'Owner-non-Residents'. You can only select two options using this, and if you wish to send to the entire building, simply use the 'To' option and send to 'Buildings'.

Once you set your sending parameters, you confirm the recipient count on the bottom right-hand side of the page, enter the subject and body of the message and click 'Notify'.

A great feature of the 1VALET Console is that short messages can also be blasted on the console for residents and guests to view as they navigate your community - messages such as Fire Alarm testing, Elevator outage alerts, holiday greetings and more!

In the Announcement tab, ensure you have at least one recipient, and enter the subject and body of the Announcement. Then check the 'Display announcement on Smart Intercom' box. This will allow you to enter a message up to 150 characters and display it on the console for as long as you wish.
