As a third-party payment processing company processing transactions on behalf of building owners, 1VALET must charge a service fee to cover the costs of fees charged by financial institutions on each transaction. Your building may choose to pass a percentage of these fees on to you, or cover them for some payment methods and not others.

These fees will vary, depending on what you use to pay or how much you are paying.

Typically, there is a flat fee for Pre-authorized Debit (PAD) and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, and a percentage-based fee for credit and debit card transactions.

To find out the exact fee, you can start the payment flow, enter the amount of the payment, and choose the payment method you would like to use. Next, look for the Service fee line item on the payment review screen. You must agree to the terms and conditions as well to paying the service fee before you can proceed (shown in the picture below).

You can always tap the “service fees” text on the screen to view the various service fees depending on what payment method you are using, and the amount of the payment. This can help you decide on which payment method works best for you.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team at support@1valet.com.
